The PCU/MCA section is optional. You can complete a visit and submit your Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 cases without filling it in.
What the section is for
It helps your facility keep track of whether you've done the PCU and MCA for a patient. Two things to keep in mind:
- PCU must be done for every visit.
- MCA is done once, during the patient's first visit, and saved from there.
It's a tracking and record-keeping tool inside SeriousMD YAKAP. It does not affect whether your cases can be submitted.
Can I complete the visit and submit without it?
Yes. Completing the visit and submitting Tranche 1 or Tranche 2 does not require the PCU/MCA section to be filled in. If you've left it blank, your submission still goes through normally.
Then how does PhilHealth get my PCU and MCA?
Submission of the PCU and MCA to PhilHealth is done separately, outside SeriousMD. Depending on your process, that means:
- Through the HCI portal (the digital YES process), or
- By email or a shared link with PhilHealth, or
- Printed and submitted physically.
So even if you save them in SeriousMD, you still submit them to PhilHealth through whichever method applies to you.
