When to use this: The patient has already gone through their First Patient Encounter (FPE) with you in a previous visit, and is now back for a follow-up consult.
What you repeat every visit, and what carries over
Most of the work is already saved from the first visit. Only three things are done fresh each time.

⚠️ PCU 1 is required for every single visit, including returning patients. This is the liveness proof that the patient was physically present today. It cannot be skipped or reused from a previous visit.
📌 PCU 2 / Digital YES is a first-visit step only. You already did it in the HCI portal during the patient's FPE, and it is saved in the patient's record inside your SMD YAKAP account. Nothing to redo, nothing to re-upload.
Using the PCU Checker App
Step 1: Open the PCU Checker App and perform a new Liveness Check
This captures fresh proof that the patient was physically present today. The PCU2 (digital YES) from their first visit is already saved, so you won't need to print or re-upload it.
Step 2: Confirm the patient is recognized
The system will detect their previous record and pull up their saved PCU2 (digital YES) automatically.
Step 3: Tap Register Patient
The patient will appear in your Daily Visits queue in SMD YAKAP with their previous FPE already saved.
Step 4: Open the record and complete Vitals, then proceed to the Consult
Vitals (Section 1) is always blank for returning patients and must be newly recorded for every visit. 
Once Vitals is done, you can skip ahead to Section 10 (Consultation), since the rest of the FPE sections (2 to 9) are already saved from the previous visit.
Without going through the PCU Checker App
When to use this: The patient has had a previous FPE with you, but you're not using the PCU Checker App today
📌 Heads up: This path is fine, but it's more work. You'll need to upload the PCU photo into the patient record manually, since the app won't capture them automatically.
Note that you should have already done the PCU 2 during the patient's first visit already.
Step 1: Import your Masterlist (if you haven't recently)
This makes sure your search results are up to date.
Step 2: Open SMD YAKAP and go to Daily Visit
Click Add Patient.
Step 3: Search for the patient
Search by Name or PIN. Select the patient from the results. Only patients in your imported Masterlist will appear.
Step 4: Click Continue Registration
"Continue Registration" here just means adding them to your Daily Registration list for today. It does not re-register them to your facility (they're already registered from before).
Step 5: Upload the PCU1
This is the liveness proof for today's visit.
Step 6: Click create record, complete Vitals, then proceed to the Consult
Vitals (Section 1) is always blank for returning patients and has to be recorded fresh every visit.
Sections 2 to 9 are already filled out from the patient's first visit, so they are saved and you can skip past them. Go straight from Vitals to Section 10-15.
📌 Watch the green dots as you go. A green dot beside a section name means it is complete. Every section from 10 to 15 needs one before you mark the visit Complete.
Step 7: Mark the visit as Complete
Once all six sections show green dots, click Save & Complete.
⚠️ Once a record is marked Complete, you can no longer edit it. Use Save as Draft instead if you might still need to make changes.
If something is missing, the system will warn you and offer a Review Errors button. Click it to jump to the sections that still need filling in.
