SeriousMD YAKAP is a EMR for running PhilHealth Konsulta (YAKAP) visits at your facility.

It has two parts that work together:
1. PCU Checker App - your front desk tool. Verifies that the patient is real, present, and registered with your facility before any documentation begins.
2. SMD YAKAP Platform - Where you record the visit, store clinical data, and submit claims to PhilHealth.
How they fit together
Patient arrives → use the PCU Checker App to verify them
Once verified → the patient appears in SMD YAKAP for the consult and documentation
After the visit → submit the case to PhilHealth directly from SMD YAKAP
Why two apps?
PhilHealth requires proof that the patient was physically present (Liveness Check) and consented to care (MCA + Photo Consent Form). The PCU Checker App handles that compliance step so your claim won't get rejected later. SMD YAKAP then takes over for the clinical work and claims submission.

You can only use the app using your PC/laptop.
2. Am I required to use the PCU Checker App all the time? Can I just add a patient manually to my Daily Visits page without going through the PCU Checker App?
No, it is not required! What this just does is helps capture the PCU and MCA easily for you.
